Amongst rumors and light details over the past few months, more details have finally emerged about the Academy Awards’ planned musical and Les Miserables tributes this Sunday.

Concerning the Dreamgirls and Chicago side of the musical tribute announced in January, Jennifer Hudson and Catherine Zeta-Jones will reprise their roles respectively.

As for Les Miserables, many of the film’s cast members will be performing together: Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway, Russell Crowe, Eddie Redmayne, Aaron Tveit, Samantha Barks, and Helena Bonham Carter are all set. Rumors of their involvement first surfaced last month.

The final revelation from Deadline this morning is that Shirley Bassey, an original Bond girl, will be singing during the James Bond tribute. That tribute will also involve Adele, who we’ve known will be performing “Skyfall.”

Oscar producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron are also promising several “oh my God” surprises, and say they’re doing everything they can to keep those things a secret. “We are being like the CIA. We have some stuff that is going on that we really hope nobody discovers so that when it happens on the show people will be surprised in a huge way,” said Zadan. “And we have those moments that people will go ‘oh my God.’ We are not putting them on our rundowns. We are not rehearsing them. We’re going to wing it so there are those moments that could be really, really jawdropping.”

Hypable will offer full coverage of the Academy Awards this year. For the first time ever we will have someone there at the event in the Winners Room asking questions of the stars as soon as they receive their Oscar.
