Oscar Isaac will soon be helping to bring Sony’s Metal Gear Solid adaptation to life.

Actor Oscar Isaac has officially singed on to star in the upcoming action movie Metal Gear Solid.

Based on the video game of the same name, which initiallylaunched in 1987 and has since gone on to spawn a successful franchise. The story follows a soldier named Solid Snake who infiltrates a nuclear weapons facility in an attempt to neutralize a terrorist threat from a renegade special forces unit which goes by the name of FOXHOUND.

Isaac is set to take on the role of Solid Snake for the movie which as Variety points out, is pretty fortuitous for the Star Wars vet given that he’s publicly expressed interest in playing the soldier in the past.
