The Addams Family is back, and they’ve got an all-star cast to help bring this new animated tale to life.

Whether you grew up watching the old black and white series or you watched the live action movies from the ’90s, most of us have a special place for the world’s spookiest family, the Addams Family. However, it’s been decades since we’ve had new Addams Family content to enjoy, and it’s about time for some, don’t you think?

Happily, a new, stop-motion animated version of The Addams Family is coming our way in 2019. Even better, they’ve got a super talented cast to bring the classic characters to life. According to Variety, the Addams matriarch and patriarch, Morticia and Gomez, will be played by the amazing Charlize Theron and Oscar Isaac.

Of course, two people does not a big, spooktacular family make. Rounding out the rest of the cast will be Chloe Grace Moretz as Wednesday Addams and Finn Wolfhard as Wednesday’s brother Pugsly Addams. Nick Kroll will be playing Uncle Fester, Bette Midler will be the voice of Grandmama, and Allison Janney will be playing the Addams nemesis Margaux Needler.

There isn’t much information regarding the film’s plot, but we do know that our adventure with the Addams will begin when a crafty reality TV host makes life challenging for the Addams as they prepare for a big, family visit. We’ve seen the Addams face off against so many of the trials and tribulations of our “normal” world, but this will be the first time we see them square off with reality television. Honestly, we can’t wait to see how the Addams and the nuttiness of reality TV collide in this new movie.

The Addams Family will premiere on October 11, 2019, and we’ll be sure to share more news about the film as it breaks.
