Orphan Black season 4, episode 9 just aired and Sestras’ power rocks. No seriously, it totally rocks more than ever before.

Don’t mess with our girls! They are united like never before.

Felix and Sarah

Our favorite brother and sister duo are back, and they have buried the hatchet. Felix and Sarah meeting with Rachel and Ira goes just about as well as you’d think it might. The angst doesn’t last long because there’s no time to discuss the finer points of pencil stabbing when there’s two Neolution surrogates on the run. Even better, these two surrogates have a serious blackmail video that can bring Evie Cho and her cronies down.

Sarah and Art are hot on the runaways’ trail because Felix has to check in on Team Hendrix. Sarah and Art have to deal with annoying hangers-on because Rachel and Ira can’t leave well enough alone. It’s a classic matter of does the ends justify the means for the greater good? In simpler terms, Alison and Art are the “good cops” and Ira and Rachel are the “bad cops.” Regardless, Alison and Art manage to take out the Neolution goons who show up, but Ira and Rachel capture the surviving runaway.

Who was right and who was wrong? You be the judge. it’s murky moral high ground at best. We’re going to call this one a draw. Now if Art can just 100% put together that the cop asking about Duco is yet another Neolution agent.

Team Hendrix and Helena

Apparently Donnie and Alison are the only people in their demographic who have never watched an episode of Law and Order. If they had, they’d know that surveillance suddenly disappearing is not a sign to make a break for it. Something is very, very wrong. The Neolution henchman from the jail in short order overpowers both Donnie and Alison.

In a credit to both of them, they don’t sell out the rest of the clones. Seconds before serious torture starts, Helena saves the day. Apparently, she’s quite the archer. Who knew?

Poor Adele

Life is tough when you’re a practically disbarred, alcoholic lawyer. You have to wonder if Adele thinks she’s having DTs every time another clone shows up. She’s going to end up signing herself into rehab at this rate. In any case, some of the best comedy this series is Adele meeting each clone and try to mask her WTF, but not quite succeeding. Helena hissing at Adele like a rabid cockroach is simply priceless. Cue the GIF makers now. Oh, Helena, how we have missed you.

Cosima and Susan

Never mind politics, freaky science makes strange bedfellows. Susan and Cosima have an odd respect meets love/hate relationship. Lots of good ethical questions get asked. At the end of the day, the one thing that’s clear is that no one on the original Leda project thought about human beings enough.

Dun-dun-Duncan

Rachel is still having these weird visions of the island featuring the swan. Are these visions reality, or fantasy? Are they literal, or a metaphor? Who is the man in the visions? Why is this happening? What is it that Rachel needs to see? We eventually get some answers, but for now we still can’t figure most of it out.

Rachel ends up surprising everyone by working for the greater good. She ends up blackmailing Evie Cho with the birth defects video, and more damning original video where Evie admits thinking of human life as a cheap and expendable way of doing business. Even though it may have looked like Rachel was going to double cross the rest of the clones, she actually had their backs as the video takes Evie’s empire.

Back from the dead

Who is Rachel’s puppet master? Who may have been feeding info to MK? Now we know. Cue one remote location, French music playing in the background, and a profile glimpse of Delphine! Boom! Mic drop!

Where is Delphine? Who saved her? Is she working with Susan? Who is the mystery person with her? There are so many questions until we get to the season finale next week.

The Orphan Black season 4 finale is next Thursday at 10:00 pm. on BBC America.

Who do you think Delphine is working with on ‘Orphan Black’?
