Well, folks, the time has finally come – the Orphan Black season 2 trailer is upon us and it is absolutely bone chilling.
For the past week, the Orphan Black Instagram account has released a clip a day from the second season for eight days, teasing us with short scenes and glimpses of our favorite characters. Now the time has come to feast your eyes upon the full Orphan Black season 2 trailer:
In the trailer, we get an incredible amount of brand new footage from season 2, which is what we’ve been waiting for since last June when the first season ended! There are plenty of looks at new characters, like Cal, the hunky woodsman, Henrik “Hank” Johanssen, from the Prolethean sect, and Rachel, the proclone that appeared at the end of last season.
One thing that particularly excites us is the information on the back of the photo that Amelia gave Sarah. It states that it was taken on July 22, 1977 and is of two professors whose names have been blacked out. Some major fan theories include the possibilities of one of those professors being Mrs. S, but upon further inspection of the photo, we’ve come to realize that neither of those scientists are her. Who are they, then?!
We’re sure this photo will be a major factor in the show’s second season, and we hope the mystery of who’s in it and what Mrs. S has to do with it will be revealed, otherwise we’re going to be waiting for a long, long time.
And the one thing on everyone’s mind is: Who is the dead clone on the slab at the end of the trailer!? There are no telling marks on her face that identify her as Cosima or any of the clones we know, so hopefully our beloved hot clone is still safe at the end of the season. Could this be a brand new clone, or is it Helena without her hair? Tell us your theories in the comments below!
