Orphan Black season 2, episode 6, “To Hound Nature In Her Wanderings,” was a reunion of significant proportions. Find out who is back together in our full recap!

On the Open Road

Camping, shadow puppets, and a couple golden-Ukraine-convent-approved tunes is all it takes for Helena and Sarah to begin to feel like sisters. Well, at least on the surface. “Swan man” Duncan, the elusive surviving member of Project Leda, was last tracked to a church by Maggie Chen. That is where their adventure begins.

Sarah takes the initiative to chat up the woman who has access to the archives and claims to be a student of the former church visitor. The Cold River Institute, shut down in the seventies, houses their archives in the church basement as a means of preservation.

Helena ditches the stakeout and orders one of everything at the local dive bar. When one of the patrons gets a little rough, Helena snaps his finger and his friend Jessie sets his sights on her. Her backstory involves a mash up of her “sisters” past lives. The ex-investigator, who just did a stint in rehab, enjoys her new company and time away from her crazy travels with her sister.

Lab Rats

Cosima begins to receive treatment from Delphine, but their talk about technicalities is interrupted by a visitor in the lobby. Scott is now available to work in the lab alongside Cosima instead of conferenced in via Skype. Approved by Dr. Leekie personally, Scott’s expertise in genetic sequencing is essential to the work they are conducting.

Scott, proves to be more clever than Cosima gives him credit. Looking at the combination of genetic sequencing and questioning patents on them, Scott realizes that Cosima is working with clones. He asks if he is allowed to see one of the clones. Oh, you were doing so well Scott.

Rehab is for Quitters

Sitting in on mandatory therapy, closeted drinker Alison, sees a face from the past. “Vic the Dick” appears in the room to share his woes. Recovering druggie and new to the ways of the Buddha, Vic confronts Alison after the session. Coming straight out with the truth that she is a clone, Vic luckily finds it absurd, but still keeps a close eye on her.

Donnie visits and is met with an all too familiar hostile attitude since he did not bring the children to visit. Vic steps in to convince Donnie that Alison is working on her anger harder than it may seem.

Vic takes his meditation seriously, which irks Alison to interrupt his silence. He gets her to open up and finally admit that she has a drinking problem.

A New Look at Art

Felix, binging on paint splatters and vodka, is put to bed while Art sets up camp in his apartment. As Felix sleeps his way to a hangover, Art sets up a wall reminiscent of a Sherlockian method, full of Maggie Chen’s puzzle pieces. The next step, figure out what it all means.

The Watchers

The watchers, Paul and a Mark, a member of the Proletheans, allow Helena to have her fun with Jessie, keeping their attention turned to the bar. They strike up a deal; Paul takes Sarah, Mark takes Helena. Both bosses will be happy. For now, Helena is the only one enjoying herself, arm wrestling and making out with Jessie on the dance floor. That is until his jealous friend, begins a fight that Helena ultimately ends. Paul watches Helena get taken away by the cops and wishes his friend the best of luck.

Cosima confides to Sarah that the stem cell treatment has begun and admits that they are stronger together. While explaining to Cosima that Duncan was at Clear Water, Sarah, still at the archives realizes that pieces are not only missing, but they were taken by Maggie Chen.

Helena’s “sister” Gracie, whose mouth was recently unsewn, convinces her to come back with her, to her children. Henrik harvested her eggs and is willing to place them back inside of her. Helena sees the prospect of gaining her own family once and for all and leaps at the opportunity.

Alison tries to get closer to Vic by asking him to assist her with the place settings for family day at the center. Vic steps out for a smoke, but the only release he gets is from spilling information to Angie who waits in an idle car.

Missing Puzzle Piece

Sarah finds the missing piece that Maggie Chen swiped is actually a medical record for an orphan named Andrew Peckham who died at the institute. Living under the stolen identity, Art is able to track down where Peckham, aka Duncan is hiding. What Sarah does not expect is to find Mrs. S taking care of the ailing lone survivor of Project Leda.

Mrs. S tries to explain the situation, but it falls on deaf ears. Still going by Andrew, Duncan submits to questioning about his upbringing of Rachel. Proof of concept, is how it call began, resulting in he and Susan creating the first successful human embryo clone. Dyad took over the sensitive Project Leda and ultimately their attempt to raise Rachel in a loving home. It was the Neolutionists inside of Dyad that began the seemingly irreversible corruption, not her parents.

Outside, Mrs. S takes Paul into her confidence and suggests they are better off working on the same team.

The little girls who still belong to Duncan, Alison, Cosima, and Sarah are alive and need his help to prevent their untimely death. Duncan reveals that Leekie is responsible for taking Rachel from him and killing Susan in the lab explosion. If there is one person he has been hiding from, it is the man believed they began to trust on their side.
