As is tradition on Orphan Black, tonight we got more information about clones, more threatening enemies revealed and even another death.

Investigating together

Sarah and Felix are dealing with the issue of having a dead body in their apartment complex, so they take Seth’s body to the tub and figure out how to deal with it.

Then Art shows up, and they hide the blood and body since he won’t go away but they don’t do a good job: Art sees the blood and goes into the bathroom and finds the body. He says he can’t look away from this, but then Sarah introduces him to Cosima through Skype, and she says she knew Beth and what she was going through. Cosima says that the male clones are likely to have a defect like they do, and she wants to inspect Seth’s brain.

Art walks away and tells Sarah they found a lead on Mark. He and Sarah go on a stakeout and find the midwife from the farm, Alexis, but she says she doesn’t know where Helena is. She does tell them, though, that Mark ran off with Johansen’s daughter and that Henrik impregnated Helena as well as Gracie with his babies.

Art and Sarah show up to a man named Willard Finch’s place, and they show him a picture of Mark, but he says he doesn’t recognize him. They convince him to talk and he explains that while he doesn’t know Mark, Gracie came by earlier. They go to a diner to work on all the information they gathered and Sarah asks why Beth called him on the night she died and not Cosima or Alison. Art then explains that he was in love with Beth, but he never said it and because of that he feels he has to help them.

Sarah says she’ll catch the bus back to her home that night and lets Art leave to go do his own thing. As soon as he leaves, Sarah finds Gracie in a booth at the diner and tells her that Helena is the mother of her kid, and is in trouble so she needs to know where Mark is.

Deadly conditions

Mark and Gracie are still in their hotel room, and when Gracie leaves to get breakfast Mark freaks until she returns, saying their families are going to be looking for them. After they have sex, Mark opens up like a book, and and tells Gracie he was with the military the whole time. Her father, Henrik, stole valuable scientific material and Mark was sent to recover it.

Gracie says the last thing they need is another violent mess and when Mark asks if she has a better idea of how to handle it she goes to see Mr. Finch. She tells Mr. Finch she’s there to collect what he held in trust for her father, and he gives her the toolbox with the stuff she’s interested in.

Gracie takes the toolbox back to the hotel and Mark opens it to find a bunch of journals and no tissue samples, saying it’s all junk. Mark says he has to take a look himself and he goes to interrogate Mr. Finch, torturing him to find out where the rest of Henrik’s things are. While he’s at it, Gracie hides the toolbox under the hotel bed.

Later, Alexis shows up to a Prolethean house in the farm land and tells a woman (Henrik’s wife Bonnie) that she knows where Mark took Gracie. Then Bonnie shows up at the hotel room and finds Gracie, telling her she needs to come with her.

Sarah shows up at the barn where Mark was interrogating Mr. Finch and finds that Mr. Finch is dead thanks to him. Sarah says she knows where Gracie is, and that they’re actually related so he has to care about them. Castor and Leda are siblings and when she tells Mark he threatens her with a gun and tells her they’re not family, so he’s going to go find Gracie.

While he’s running away to do so he gets shot in the leg and we see Bonnie chasing after him with a gun. She says they shared everything with him, and now he has to pay, so she kills him.

Go sell a house, Marci

Alison and Donnie are going through their neighborhood trying to rack up votes for her race and they come across one of Alison’s neighbors. She wasn’t going to vote for Alison until Alison offers her the drugs she’s used to buying from Ramon, and all of a sudden she’s all supportive.

Her business is booming, and her neighbors are starting to ask her for “soap” and stuff, which she’s cleverly made as the cover for their drug business. They use their garage as the home base for their soap making, and Marci shows up with a proposal: She can get Alison a deal on a new house, but because it’s in a different school district Alison refuses while Donnie is impressed with the saltwater pool.

Family ties

Cosima and Scott show up at Felix’s apartment to look at Seth’s brain, and Scott is having trouble looking at the gore of it all, but Cosima manages to get out his brain so they can take it to the lab. They start running tests on it to see if there’s a new synthetic sequence and Cosima discovers they’re actually physically related to the boy clones — they’re their brothers!

Healing

Rachel is healing, and is going through some mental rehabilitation with Dr. Nealey. He’s asking her to name the items that are on the cards he’s showing her, and when it gets to a picture of a key she sees a knife. Nealey tells her the Rachel Duncan that Topside knew is dead due to a train crash, and Rachel wants to go outside but she cannot.

Mother dearest

Helena is in her jail cell at the Castor camp and Seth and Paul arrive, where Dr. Coady is pissed because Seth killed Rudy. Paul says it was protocol and goes to smoke with Dr. Coady, where she explains that Helena doesn’t have the Leda genetic condition but the closest thing that she can get to a cure is the clones’ original DNA tissues.

Paul says that he runs the field operations and wants Rudy back at base at all times, but Coady says she runs the program and needs Rudy back in the field to find Mark. Coady says the director wants Paul in Orington, and Paul says he owes the clones, and she tells him that he needs buy them more time with the director and she’ll be able to cure them.

Coady goes to have a talk with Rudy and she takes a look at the logs he’s brought back. It’s then that Rudy breaks down, calls Coady “mom” and cries because his brother is dead. Afterwards, he goes to talk to Helena. He tells her that Sarah sold her out again, but Helena is still tough as nails and doesn’t believe it. Paul interrupts and when he tells Rudy to go away he apologizes to Helena but she says she will kill them all.
