We’re going to get a way bigger insight into Project Castor on Orphan Black with the season’s third episode, “Formalized, Complex, and Costly.”

Last week on ‘Orphan Black’

We learned that the male clones have their own genetic defect, only it’s mental and they’ve nicknamed it glitching. They go through rigorous mental exams and when Seth started showing signs of it, his brother Rudy went to great lengths to find Duncan’s research so he could help cure him.

Those great lengths included Rudy sneaking into Felix’s apartment and taking Kira hostage once she and Sarah got home for the day, but luckily for them Cal had interrupted his lookout, Seth, downstairs. Although instead of breaking out into a fight with Seth, Cal witnessed him glitching even worse. Rudy gave Kira up as soon as it was clear that Sarah had no idea about Duncan’s research. When he went downstairs to check on his brother he ended up shooting him thrice in the chest, killing him. He ran off, and the events of the night have basically forced Sarah to agree to let Kira get out of the country with Cal until it was safe for her to come back home.

Back in the suburbs Alison ran into Ramon, her drug dealer, at her kids’ soccer game and learned that 1) most of his clients were in her circle of moms, and 2) he was going out of business to go to college. Since she’s in a financial slump she took this opportunity and decided to buy his business with Donnie, and is going to use his (now her) client list to make sure she gets the votes she needs to win the election against Marci, as well as get some surplus income.

There weren’t many events for Helena and Cosima, although we did see Helena get tested by the military clone leader Dr. Coady and Cosima learned that the donors for the original tissue used for the Project Castor and Leda experiments have both been lost to both the DYAD and the military.

This week, Castor is hunting Mark down

The synopsis for the episode reads: “Leda and Castor are both on the hunt for original clone DNA. On-the-lam, Mark and Gracie pursue new leads to find the samples that might set them free, while Art and Sarah reunite to track them down. Meanwhile, Cosima and Scott try to learn more about Castor’s biology and Alison’s new money-making venture is going gangbusters. A shocking revelation about the Castor-Leda connection leaves the sisters reeling, just before Sarah witnesses a deadly Prolethean-Castor face-off.”

Could it be that Mark dies? We’ve already seen Seth bite the bullet, and if the Castor clones’ fate is anything like it was for the Leda ladies in season one, there’s going to be quite a few casualties.

‘Orphan Black’ airs tonight at 9:00 p.m. Eastern on BBC America
