One Direction will release the follow-up to its massively popular debut album, Up All Night, this fall starting with new single, “Live While We’re Young.”

As Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson announced in a YouTube video to fans Thursday, “Live While We’re Young” will be released Oct. 1, but will be available for pre-order at midnight tonight.

The yet-unnamed album drops in November, one year after the U.K. release of Up All Night and eight months after its U.S. release, which earned One Directon the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart.

“We want to say a massive thank you to you guys because we wouldn’t be where we are today with you,” Tomlinson said in the video.

“Live While We’re Young” reunited the boys of 1D with songwriters Savan Kotecha, Rami Yacoub and Carl Falk, who worked with them on hit singles “What Makes You Beautiful” and “One Thing.”

The U.K. band and former X Factor contestants also worked with Ed Sheeran and McFly frontman Tom Fletcher, Dr. Luke, Shellback and Toby Gad on the new album.

Up All Night has gone platinum in the United States, selling more than one million copies since its debut in March 2012.

But you won’t have to wait until October to hear One Direction. The group will perform at the MTV VMAs Sept. 6 and vie for the moon man in the categories of Best New Artist and Best Pop Video. They will also perform at New York City’s Madison Square Garden in December before returning to the U.S. in June 2013 as part of their world tour.
