Some new spoilers have emerged about Once Upon a Time, including what sorts of fairytales and stories the show will be exploring in future, as well as a bit about the character death in the promo and some background info on Graham.

Jane Espenson tells E! Online that we can expect to see stories, “Not quite so Swiss looking,” and says we’ll see fairytales from “other traditions.” Hopefully that means some Hans Christian Andersen and some 1001 Nights, but maybe also some Greek, Nordic or Asian mythology? We’ve already got King Midas from the Greek tradition, after all. That would definitely widen the show’s potential!

As for Sheriff Graham, Jamie Dornan reveals that the writers originally planned to have him be a different character in the fairytale realm, but their changed their minds, “Because of rights.” We might never know, but Jamie indicates that it may have been Robin Hood. That was a lot of people’s early guess!

Finally, some news of the dreaded death: we didn’t in fact get away with it just being the original Prince James. E! calls the death “Epic,” saying it’ll knock the other death out of the park… we are very much anticipating your theories, because the promo seems to make it obvious that it’ll be Sheriff Graham – but maybe the show will surprise us!
