Watch a sneak peek for Sunday’s Once Upon a Time episode “Tallahassee,” in which Hook explains why Emma, Snow, Aurora and Mulan should trust him.

In the clip, Hook lays out why they need to get up the beanstalk: to get the compass, which they’ll need along with the ashes from the wardrobe to get back to Storybrooke. However, there is still one giant up there, and the beanstalk is also enchanted (conveniently though, Hook’s got the counterspell).

Mulan wisely asks why they should believe him, as this seems like an obvious set-up for Hook to get the compass, then double cross them and give it to Cora. But he has a very convincing counter argument: that the four of them are “much safer company,” and that he’ll swear allegiance to whoever he thinks is most likely to help him get where he wants to go.

Emma sure seems to buy it, at least for the time being. And so, the scene is set for Hook and Emma to head up the beanstalk together, where they’ll encounter the terrifying giant (in the form of former Lost star Jorge Garcia).

“Tallahassee” will also feature our first ever Emma flashbacks, as we learn about the time she spent in Tallahassee, and how she came to be pregnant with Henry. It should be a great reveal!

Once Upon a Time 2×06 “Tallahassee” airs Sunday at 8/7c on ABC. You can see the promo and the (spoilery!) promotional images released from the episode right here on Hypable.
