Following the short episode description for the Once Upon a Time episode “Tallahassee,” more details released indicate who Henry’s father could be!

ABC has released the following press release, and read carefully because not only does it reveal what Emma and Hook will be searching for in fairytale land, but it also contains a few clues as to the identity of Henry’s father:

EMMA TREKS UP A BEANSTALK WITH A NOT-TOO-TRUSTWORTHY CAPTAIN HOOK TO STEAL A COMPASS FROM A MURDEROUS GIANT, AND EMMA’S PAST IS REVEALED, ON ABC’S “ONCE UPON A TIME”

Jorge Garcia (“Lost”) Guest Stars as the Giant

“Tallahassee” – With the hopes of finding a magical compass that could help her and Mary Margaret get back to Storybrooke, Emma takes a journey with a not-too-trustworthy Captain Hook up a treacherous beanstalk in an attempt to steal the item from a murderous giant (Jorge Garcia, “Lost”). Meanwhile, Emma’s past is revealed to be anything but magical when she meets up with a fellow thief who wants to make an honest woman out of her, on “Once Upon a Time,” SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 4 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

“Once Upon a Time” stars Ginnifer Goodwin as Snow White/Mary Margaret, Jennifer Morrison as Emma Swan, Lana Parrilla as Evil Queen/Regina, Josh Dallas as Prince Charming/David, Emilie de Ravin as Belle, Jared S. Gilmore as Henry Mills, Meghan Ory as Red Riding Hood/Ruby, and Robert Carlyle as Rumplestiltskin/Mr. Gold.

Guest starring are Michael Raymond-James as Neal Cassady, Colin O’Donoghue as Killian Jones/Hook, Sarah Bolger as Aurora, Jamie Chung as Mulan, Eion Bailey as August W. Booth/Pinocchio, Jorge Garcia as Giant, Marc-Anthony Massiah as traffic cop, Tony Alcantar as cashier, Fane Tse as customer, Artine Brown as cop and Kerry Sandomirsky as Loretta.

Not only does the description reveal that Michael Raymond-James will return, but it also gives us his character’s name: Neal Cassady. We already know that Henry’s father will be revealed in this episode, so the return of Neal indicates that he could very well be the person we’ve been waiting for.

The fact that Raymond-James’ character’s name is Neal of course doesn’t rule out that he could be Rumpelstiltskin’s son Baelfire, having assumed another name since coming to the real world. As Bae seems to be the most popular fan choice for Henry’s dad, it’d be a neat reveal to find out that they are the same person! Especially since Emma will be going up a beanstalk in this episode, when Bae also used a magical bean to move between worlds.

But the reappearance of Eoin Bailey as August should also be noted. Even though Emma and he have already shared many scenes together, some fans still believe that he could be Henry’s dad.

Plus, we can’t help but wonder about Hook. Curiously he also seems to have a real-world name, Killian Jones, and although this could very well be the fake name he uses to hide his identity from Emma and the others in the fairytale world, maybe he’ll show up in Emma’s flashback, too. And if fans can believe that Emma wouldn’t remember August, we have to assume that she could also have hooked up with Hook (get it?) and forgot what he looked like.

The ethnicities of the other three male guest stars do not match Henry’s, therefore – unless there is a character they’re still keeping secret – it seems like the identity of Henry’s father has been narrowed down to Neal, August or Hook.

Of course, Emma is not likely to have forgotten the identity of the father of her child, but it is possible that she has been put under a spell to forget. As this seems unlikely, our official guess at this point is still Neal Cassady – but we’re open to other theories!
