Can we now officially say that Hades is in the works at Once Upon a Time? The series has officially added Meg and Hercules!

Who puts the “glad” in “gladiator”? ONCE UPON A TIME! After the conclusion of last night’s episode “The Bear King,” it seemed pretty obvious that we are taking a trip to the Underworld pretty soon! The witch, offering Merida water from what is presumably the River Styx, allows the newly crowned queen to speak with her father King Fergus one last time. Now with the addition of Hercules and Megara, it is time to get serious about what circumstances will cause our heroes to take a trip past Cerberus to meet the man with the blue hair and charming smile. Our fingers are crossed for Pain and Panic casting news!

But first let’s meet our zero-to-hero and damsel-not-so-in-distress! TV Line announced today that newcomer to television Jonathan Whitesell and Kacey Rohl (Hannibal) will fill the roles, respectively.

Also announced is the addition of the Distinguished Gentleman himself — Greg Germann. While it is merely speculation at this point, can’t you see a bit of blue CGI magic at work? Here, we’ll help you out, ABC!

All of these characters will make their debut in the second episode back from the winter hiatus — season 5, episode 13, “Labor of Love.” Get it? The 12 Labors of Hercules? Hercules and Meg are only slated for one episode, but will we see more of Hades this Gentleman as the season goes on? Also set to appear shortly after episode 100 is Cruella De Vil, who may have some connection to the Underworld after she took a spill over the side of cliff at the conclusion of last season.

Watch Once Upon a Time season 5, episode 10, “Broken Heart,” Sunday, November 29 at 8:00 p.m. ET on ABC.
