Sunday’s episode of Once Upon a Time is a David flashback, revealing a connection to Frozen‘s Anna as they battle… yep, Bo Peep the warlord.

Did you enjoy the Once Upon a Time season 4 premiere last week? We’re only two days away from episode 2, “White Out.”

Speaking to TV Guide, Josh Dallas previews his flashback episode, which sees David in his shepherd days confronting a local warlord (not-so-Little Bo Peep, played by Robin Weigert).

“We’ll learn in this episode that [David has] been conditioned to run from things,” Dallas says. “Running is easier than tackling whatever the problem is.”

Enter Anna (Elizabeth Lail), who “shows him the way” and “teaches him to face life and stop running from things.”

This lesson will come back to David in the present, when Elsa (Georgina Haig) accidentally traps herself and Emma (Jennifer Morrison) inside an ice cave. “David uses what Anna instilled him in his whole life to help out Elsa,” Dallas reveals, “who then hopefully helps him out of that ice cave.”

Dallas also reveals that David already knows about Anna before meeting her, because “he has another connection to someone else in Arendelle that we will find out about as well.” Who could that be?! We hope it’s Kristoff – that’d be an epic bromance for sure.

Finally, Dallas teases Emma’s relationship with her parents, and says she might struggle seeing Baby Neal get everything she never had.

“I think for Mary Margaret (Ginnifer Goodwin) and David, they’re going to try their best to bring up Neal the way that they always wanted to bring up Emma,” he says, “but at the same time, not alienate Emma because Emma is still his child.”

Once Upon a Time season 4, episode 2, “White Out,” airs Sunday at 8/7c on ABC!
