A lot still needs to happen to get from “Once upon a time,” to “Happily ever after.” Check out how evil looks on Snow White in this finale sneak peek!

The story is changing and everything you knew about Once Upon a Time will be flipped on its head. This is not the first time a Once finale set out to rewrite the stories of the past. Instead of trying to keep the timeline in tact like Hook and Emma did in the season 3 finale, this season the heroes and the villains will take a walk in each other’s shoes.

It seems simply writing yourself into a hero is not enough to guarantee your happy ending will magically appear once the ink dries. Regina still has plenty of hurdles to overcome as she takes on Snow’s story in the Enchanted Forest. But this makes us consider the possibility that villains turned heroes, such as Hook and Regina, may never get their happy endings at all. Be honest, would it surprise you if Rumple only wrote happiness for himself?

It also looks like Gold requested that Hook give David some eyeliner tips before the time traveling chapter of their tale begins. As exciting as it is to see Snow White playing the role of the Evil Queen and learning that James’ death is her emotional baggage to bear, we are hoping there is more to the two-hour finale than roleplaying.

Luckily, there is the question of “the boy” that comes up between Snow and Regina. Assuming that this is a reference to Henry, we can assume that he holds some leverage over the stories that Snow wants to get a hold of.
