Once Upon a Time‘s second episode of season 4 did not feature Regina as much as some people may have liked. Watch a deleted scene from last night’s episode!

This morning on Good Morning America, a deleted scene from last night’s Once Upon a Time aired following an interview with Storybrooke’s Elsa, Georgiana Haig. Sometimes the dream job comes with a few downfalls. But the song does not seem to bother Haig too much. “As soon as I put on this dress it comes into my head and it sort of gets stuck there,” she says.

The scene offers a bit more insight into Mary Margaret’s position as the next leader of the town. Rather than Leroy offhandedly assigning her the post of leader, a trip to Regina’s adds some context. Even with a discussion about the way politics are handled in Storybrooke, casting a curse does not necessarily qualify one for office.

Luckily for Mary Margaret, she has some experience leading a kingdom, but not with a baby. Regina’s advice, though it comes off as harsh, adds just the right amount of fuel to the fire. Regina did not ask to lead, but casting the curse brought the Enchanted Forest to Storybrooke. If no one stepped up, the town would run itself into the ground. She managed to juggle having Henry, running the town, and keeping her roots to the Enchanted Forest in tact. Mary Margaret is more than capable of finding her way out of the deep end and Regina throws her a life vest by directing her to the back up generator.

As for Henry, Regina seems to believe that what she is doing is in the best interest for her and her son. But, like Mary Margaret and Henry’s actions reveal, “temporary” seems like an awfully long time for a child.

Here is another special look at Edwardo Castro, the designer who brought the Frozen costumes to life in Storybrooke!
