Emma’s path to darkness is being paved by Gold one pebble at a time. As the plan to get back the happy endings revs up, two secrets from the past make huge changes for the future. Mary Margaret and David finally tell Emma the truth about their past with Maleficent. After discovering that their child may turn to darkness, the couple take the advice of a Peddler to visit the Sorcerer’s Apprentice to transfer their baby’s darkness to another child. Maleficent’s daughter, now full of darkness, is sent to the real world where it is revealed that she grew up to be Lily, Emma’s only childhood friend.

While the hunt for the Author is on in Storybrooke, Robin Hood’s journey through the bustling streets of New York City reveal that he and his family are headed for Neal’s old apartment. He has another mission in the Gold business as he sends the thief to Oz to steal an elixir from the Wicked Witch.
