We’ve got the title for the second episode of Once Upon a Time season 3 – let the theorizing begin!
Once Upon a Time showrunner Adam Horowitz has tweeted out an image of the front page of the season 3, episode 2 script, which reveals the title:

“Lost Girl” seems like an obvious spin on the term “lost boys” from J.M. Barrie’s Peter Pan novel.
In the story, as well as on Once Upon a Time, the lost boys are the children who are abandoned by their parents, and who find their way to Neverland to join Peter Pan’s gang of misfits.
There are only ever boys in this group, until Wendy Darling travels to Neverland and becomes a mother figure to the other children.
However, in Once Upon a Time season 2, it was strongly implied that Wendy did not return to Neverland after Bae took her place. So who is the “Lost Girl” this title is referring to?
Could it be Emma, who will be traveling to Neverland to rescue Henry? Tinkerbell, who was recently cast? Or an original female character who is a part of the lost boys group?
Or perhaps Once Upon a Time will pull another Jack and the Beanstalk twist and make Peter Pan himself a female? Masking her identity, she could be sending out her male-shaped shadow to help maintain the illusion.
Unless of course the writers are being cheeky, and “Lost Girl” is actually in reference to Belle, who is played by Lost‘s Emilie de Ravin. But we’re inclined to believe it has something to do with Peter Pan!
Once Upon a Time season 3 premieres Sunday, September 29 at 8/7c on ABC. The premiere episode is titled “The Heart of the Truest Believer.”
