Once Upon a Time‘s season 3 finale is set to air on Sunday! Check out the photos and read the synopsis for “Snow Drift” below.

The final minutes of last week’s Once Upon a Time episode left viewers waiting with baited breath for the catalyst to launch the season 3 two-hour finale. A slight of hand leaves a bit of deception lurking between Rumpelstiltskin and Belle, but the biggest twist arrives after Zelena’s body shatters inside her jail cell.

As her remains disappear, the pendant that harnesses all of Zelena’s magic vaporizes from Gold’s shop and returns to the barn where she failed to travel through time.

Unbeknownst to the rest of Storybrooke, a portal opens without the wicked sorceress present in physical form. The synopsis for “Snow Drifts/There’s No Place Like Home” confirms that the portal is indeed a passage to the past. What happens when the two characters from the present take a tumble into the past? Hook and Emma are about to discover the reason why travel to the past is against the laws of magic.

‘Snow Drifts’/’There’s No Place Like Home’ Synopsis:

While Mary Margaret and David celebrate the naming of their son at a coronation in Granny’s Diner, Emma and Hook are pulled into Zelena’s time portal and find themselves in the Enchanted Forest of the past. But in their quest to discover a way back, they must be careful not to change ANYTHING or risk altering the lives of their friends and family — as well as their very own existence.
