Last week on ‘Once Upon a Time’

A son’s attempt to follow in the footsteps of his father led to a sacrifice that empowers Emma, and the residents of Storybrooke fight to take down the Wicked Witch. In order to discover the identity of the Wicked Witch’s Storybrooke counterpart, Neal must separate himself from the body he shares with Rumplestiltskin. Once the separation is complete, Neal passes away and Rumple returns unwillingly to his cage under the control of Zelena. Regina has a second run in with fate as she discovers the lion tattoo on Robin’s arm.

This week on ‘Once Upon a Time’

Neal is laid to rest in the forest outside of Storybrooke with all of the residents in attendance, minus two. This week’s episode will focus on the backstory of Zelena including a glimpse into her time in Oz and her first encounter with the Dark One. In the images and clip below, take a look at the funeral, the wild west style show down in the town square, and the town’s first interaction with their villain at Granny’s diner.

Synopsis for ‘It’s Not Easy Bring Green’

With Rumpelstiltskin as her slave, Zelena challenges Regina to a fight to the death, shocking the Evil queen with the reveal of their familial connection, and the town lays Neal to rest. Meanwhile, back in the past in the land of Oz, a jealous Zelena asks the Wizard to send her to Fairy Tale Land after discovering that she has a sister, Regina, and that Rumpelstiltskin is training her to become a powerful force to be reckoned with.
