A brief new interview with Once Upon a Time stars Lana Parrilla and Emilie de Ravin reveals new details about their characters’ season 3 storylines.

TV Guide has released a few intriguing interview snippets with Parrilla and de Ravin, revealing more about Once Upon a Time season 3.

Parrilla teases Regina’s much-hyped romantic interest, entertaining the fan theory that it might be the recently re-cast Robin Hood.

“Regina’s love has to be very manly, and Robin Hood is that,” she says, adding that, “I’m getting very excited” about the storyline.

Parrilla can also reveal that season 3 won’t only introduce The Little Mermaid‘s Ariel, but also the mermaids native to Neverland, whom she calls, “beautiful, full-bodied and not the nicest mermaids. They’re more like sirens.”

And from mermaids to fairies, this season will explore the origin stories of the Blue Fairy, Nova and Tinkerbell.

Finally, Emilie de Ravin promises that there’ll be, “a dreamlike reunion/interaction between Mr. Gold and Belle” early on in the season, and even hints that Belle could join Gold in Neverland.

Once Upon a Time season 3 premieres Sunday, September 29, airing at 8/7c on ABC. The first episode is titled “The Heart of the Truest Believer.”
