TV Guide has this video up on its website, which is a preview of the DVD featurette “Building Character.”
In the video we see Emilie de Ravin transform into Belle. The actress also talks about the process of becoming the character, and casting director Veronica Collins Rooney and showrunners Ed Kitsis and Adam Horowitz comment on picking de Ravin for the role.
In the clip, de Ravin says, “It’s nice to play this strong woman who also has this wonderful energy to her.” She also expresses her excitement at being involved with the show and playing a fairytale character.
