Once Upon a Time fans did not have to wait long for more casting news! The creators have found their Elsa!

The transfer from animation to live action is complete as Georgina Haig is cast to take on the role of the ice queen from Arendelle!

Haig’s credits include, Fringe and Reckless.

The casting description for Elsa reads, late-20s/early-30s beauty long struggled to control her “chilling” powers and even unleashed upon her town an eternal winter during her coronation. Ultimately, she realized that the key to controlling her powers is love — namely, her bond with sister Anna — and now she is aware of the threat she poses if she were to lose control of her magic again.

The photo above gives the impression: “the cold never bothered me anyway.” Which is a plus for the attitude we can expect from Elsa in Storybrooke! Although the photo is in black and white, Haig does have Elsa’s signature blonde hair. However, to achieve Elsa’s braid, you can expect to see the talents of the hair and makeup departments at work this upcoming season!

The show will pick up with the characters after the events of Frozen and Elsa will face a new town of people who do not understand her powers. At the forefront of that list is Rumpelstiltskin, who places Elsa in his vault for unknown reasons.

Earlier this week, Anna and Kristoff found their counterparts in Scott Michael Foster and Elizabeth Lail. There is no official word on how the two will factor into Elsa’s role in Storybrooke. However, judging by the description, Elsa may need a reminder of her sister’s love to keep her powers in control.

Regardless of the influence of Elsa, the cast of Once Upon a Time will need to bundle up in Vancouver this season!

Thanks, EW!
