Can Once Upon a Time‘s latest Gaston eat five dozen eggs? We’ll find out in season 5 when Wes Brown joins the cast!
Move over Rumple, another one of Belle’s formidable lovers is heading back to Once Upon a Time in the spring. He may look a little different this time around. Then again a lot has changed since season one of the series.
Wes Brown (True Blood, Hart of Dixie) will make his debut in the Once Upon a Time universe as Gaston. While fans still have nearly two months left until the hiatus ends, they will have even longer to wait for Brown’s introduction. Gaston is not set to appear until the back end of season 5’s return.
Gaston’s prior appearance showed him as Belle’s betrothed until Rumpelstiltskin took Belle as his maid in exchange for putting an end to the ogre wars. When Gaston goes after Rumple, the Dark One turns him into a rose, a symbol that Blue later offered Belle as a way to keep an eye on Gold’s ailing health while away from Storybrooke.
What could Gaston’s presence in Belle’s pre-Rumple past reveal about her present day life? Maybe it has something to do with the ogre wars, or perhaps a secret deal for Belle went down with Rumple before their wedding. Let us know your best guess in comments!
