We now have the title of the Once Upon a Time in Wonderland premiere episode; while sleuthing fans have discovered a significant Once Upon a Time tie-in!

One of the Wonderland showrunners, Adam Horowitz, has revealed the title of the first episode of the Once Upon a Time spinoff on Twitter:

Thinking about it, it should really comes as no surprise to us that “Down the Rabbit Hole” would be the title of Wonderland‘s pilot episode, considering that this is the classic opening of the fantastic tale by Lewis Carroll.

In the premiere of Wonderland, we will see Alice (Sophie Lowe) recall her fantastical romance with Cyrus the Genie (Peter Gadiot), and escape from the London asylum she is trapped in with the help of her friend the Knave (Michael Socha), on a mission to rescue her beloved.

Further, Vancity Filming, a website reporting on TV shows filming in Vancouver, Canada, has discovered something which could potentially be a big tie-in to Once Upon a Time – or maybe just a nod to Wonderland‘s parent series:

It’s Emma Swan’s yellow beetle!

The report can also reveal that Wonderland filmed a couple of Storybrooke scenes last night, or at least scenes in the Storybrooke set (there’s no evidence of the town sign or any other markers being present).

What do you think Emma’s car is doing in the parking lot of a Once Upon a Time in Wonderland shoot?!

Could Emma perhaps have a connection to one of the characters in the spinoff series? Or will we merely see her rush past in the background?

Once Upon a Time in Wonderland premieres Thursday, October 10, airing at 8/7c on ABC.
