Once Upon a Time in Wonderland season 1, episode 10, “Dirty Little Secrets,” utilizes flashbacks to take a trip into Cyrus’ dark past and discover the truth behind his transformation into a genie. Could this story reveal a side of Cyrus that pushes Alice away?
Previously on ‘Once Upon a Time in Wonderland’
The Knave, now a genie, recieves his first new master, former partner in crime, Lizard. When she uses her three wishes rather hastily, she reveals her love for the Knave during a heart to heart discussion. After wishing for the Knave to feel something for her, she falls to the floor as the Knave watches her die. Remember, wishes need to be extremely specific!
Meanwhile, the Red Queen is taken prisoner by her former people and tied to the stake to pay for her crimes. When Alice and Cyrus attempt to rescue her, they too, are captured, but Alice’s necklace serves as a distraction for the Mome Rath creature and ultimately spares their lives. Cyrus discovers that Jafar’s plan involves two other genie lamps, which he believes hold his brothers.
Jafar proclaims himself the new ruler of Wonderland and summons the Jabberwocky, a creature capable of twisting a person’s emotional weaknesses against them. Although the Jabberwocky exhibits signs of superiority over Jafar, she is kept at bay by a sword that can be wielded to her undoing.
This week on ‘Once Upon a Time in Wonderland’
The recently reunited group sets out in search of the two other lamps containing Cyrus’ brothers. The Red Queen, now in possession of the Knave’s lamp and three wishes, step right in the path of the Jabberwocky. Meanwhile, Alice and Cyrus work through Cyrus’ past as he begins to face the guilt he carries over his mother’s death.
