Check out a picture of Lost star Jorge Garcia, who’s coming to Once Upon a Time as the Giant in the upcoming episode “Tallahassee”!

TV Guide has released the following image, showing Garcia in full fairytale garb:

When it was first announced that Jorge Garcia would be guest starring in season 2 of Once Upon a Time, the fandom was full of theories about which “giant” exactly the actor would be playing.

But following the release of the episode description for 2×06 “Tallahassee,” it seems clear that Garcia will indeed be portraying the Giant from Jack and the Beanstalk:

Emma follows Captain Hook up a beanstalk in hope of finding a magical compass; a fellow thief wants to make an honest woman out of Emma.

With the picture also comes a few words from Garcia, who reveals the size of the giant: he will apparently be six times the size of a normal person!

Further, Garcia reveals that unlike in the original fairytale, Jack himself is not involved – at least not with this part of the story. And the Giant whom Hook and Emma encounter is, “a dangerous, angry guy.”

Speaking about his costume, the actor reveals that it’s, “the coolest, most extravagant costume I’ve ever worn. There’s definitely an Eastern influence to it, with a corset-style belt and a lot of bangle things that jingled when I walked.”

It’s too bad that we will not see Garcia’s character in Storybrooke, and that he seemingly will only be interacting with Captain Hook and Emma, but we can hope that he may show up in future episodes and isn’t just a one-off villain for our heroes to foil.

What do you think Emma and Hook will be looking for, up that infamous beanstalk? Are the pair working together now for a common cause, or will they be attempting to one-up each other to get the prize?
