Following the Once Upon a Time season 2 premiere, the executive producers have teased the arrival of Hook, and when we’ll meet Henry’s father!

In an interview with The Huffington Post, Adam Horowitz reveals that when Captain Hook is introduced (presumably in next week’s episode 2×02 “We Are Both“), “He will tie in rather quickly, in this first batch of episodes.” Ed Kitsis adds that he has, “interesting relationships with a few of our characters.” It seems like he’ll be another Jack of all trades, similarly to Rumpelstiltskin and Regina! Kitsis also adds that the character is “misunderstood,” saying, “he has a complicated backstory.”

They also talk about Emma and Mary Margaret’s relationship now that they are stuck in fairytale land – Snow White’s home turf. The balance between the pair will change, Kitsis says, as, “Snow White has more information about that land than Emma. So I think it’ll be interesting as they feel out their mother/daughter/big sister/friend/best friend relationship.”

In the second season we’ll also learn more about Emma’s life before she had Henry through flashbacks, and Kitsis finally reveals when we’ll meet Henry’s father: in the sixth episode, which is tentatively titled “Tallahassee.”

On Charming’s role back in Storybrooke, Kitsis says that, “What’s so interesting for David is he now has a wife to find, a daughter to find, a town to run, and a grandson to take care of, even though he was a parent for 28 minutes.” We’ll see him take a bigger responsibility for Henry and the town, but as for whether he’ll rescue Snow and Emma (who Horowitz calls “damsels with daggers”), Kitsis says, “I have a feeling they’ll be able to find their own way back.”

They also reveal in the interview that Eoin Bailey will be back as August this season, and they also hope the get Jamie Dornan back as the Huntsman.

The second episode of Once Upon a Time season 2, “We Are Both,” airs this Sunday at 8/7c on ABC!
