Once Upon a Time stars, Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas, welcomed their second son on June 1.

ABC’s fairytale family is growing! Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas, who play Mary Margaret Blanchard and David Nolan (Snow White and Prince Charming respectively) welcomed their second son born early last week. Hugo Wilson Dallas joins his big brother Oliver Finlay Dallas. What great names!

In 2014 when Goodwin’s first pregnancy came about, the Once Upon a Time creators decided to work her growing tummy into the story, giving Mary Margaret and David a second child. This time around, however, with their onscreen adult daughter Emma turning into the Dark One and their onscreen son, Neal practically being raised by babysitters, another child was not in the cards.

And we’re grateful for that decision. In a season where the fallout from Robin and Zelena’s dalliance kept another child in grave danger for a majority of the season, it was a welcome end to see baby Robin finally disappear through a portal to be raised far away from Storybrooke.

Goodwin’s co-star Emilie De Ravin who plays Belle French, however, will return to the series with a bun in the oven. De Ravin’s real-life pregnancy left her off camera most of the second half of the season after she put herself under a sleeping curse. Late in the season the creators wrote that Belle would in fact be pregnant on the show, but after giving birth in late spring, it will have to be conveyed onscreen with some crafty costuming.

Congratulations to both of Once Upon a Time‘s growing families!

Once Upon a Time‘s sixth season will air on ABC this fall.
