Once Upon a Time is introducing Snow White’s mother Queen Eva, played by Rena Sofer. Check out a few images of her here!

As we know, Snow White’s mother died when Snow was very young, leaving King Leopold heartbroken (and later to marry Regina and get killed by Genie/the Magic Mirror, poor guy).

In an upcoming episode of Once Upon a Time, Rena Sofer will embody this character in flashbacks, acting opposite Bailee Madison’s Young Snow.

TV Guide has revealed these three images showing the pair:

  The images suggest that Queen Eva is very ill at this point in Snow’s life, although she appears well enough to be walking around. Do you think her illness is natural, or will it be revealed that someone else (perhaps Cora or Rumpelstiltskin) had a hand in her death?

This episode of Once Upon a Time, 2×15 “The Queen is Dead,” is slated to air in early March.

In other casting news, the young actor Benjamin Stockham (1600 Penn) will guest star in episode 2×17 as Owen, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

Owen is described as, “a precocious, strong-willed kid who isn’t afraid to speak his mind – but his free-spirited, lively personality is all a facade, as he’s secretly dealing with the tragic death of his mother.”
