In the most recent batch of Once Upon a Time stills, ABC takes viewers back to a time where no eyeliner and two hands were a seafarer’s friend.
Once Upon a Time, firmly planted in Neverland for the foreseeable future, returns to the style of exploring one character in depth each episode. In this week’s episode, “Good Form,” the focus is on none other than Captain Hook. Take a look at young Hook and preview a woeful, clingy David.

It appears that David is finally coming to terms with the Dreamshade poison coursing through his body. David’s attempt to convey his desire to be a father to Emma seems to do nothing but confuse the other members of the search party. Perhaps the time is encroaching faster than he imagined to face Mary Margaret and explain his situation.
The official synopsis unveils a bit more of the plan for the crew:
With the deadly Dreamshade coursing through David’s body and close to death, Hook takes him on one last journey to find a sextant that could help them decipher a map that would lead them off Neverland. Meanwhile, in the Fairy Tale Land that was, Killian Jones – aka Hook – and his brother, Captain Liam, sail off under orders of the King to find a powerful indigenous plant on an uncharted land that could help heal any injury.
A young, eyeliner-less Killian Jones gains his sea legs early on while working for the King. Perhaps along the way to find another person who can decipher Neal’s map, Hook will stumble upon the plant that may save David’s life. Perhaps the revelations of Hook are part of the force closing the gap between him and Emma!
