Once Upon a Time is heading into its second season, and the creators have shared some spoilers about what we can expect, such as learning more about Henry’s father.

Speaking to the Boston Herald, Once Upon a Time showrunners Ed Kitsis and Adam Horowitz reveal that yes, we will learn the identity of Henry’s father.

“Last year, Emma told Henry the false story of his father. This year, we’ll get the real story,” Kitsis promises.

The creators also reveal plot details for the second episode of season 2: we’ll delve into Regina’s backstory, witness her first meeting with Rumpelstiltskin and learn how she learned magic.

Finally, they acknowledge that even though they had always planned to kill Sheriff Graham, A.K.A. the Huntsman, they hadn’t bargained on his popularity with the fans.

As for whether the actor will return, “I would say there is definitely a chance,” Kitsis allows. “He may be dead in the present, but he’s alive in flashbacks, and we would love to see him this season, all schedules permitting.”

Do you hope to see the Huntsman back, even if Graham won’t be magically resurrected? With other fan favourites returning, including Sebastian Stan as Jefferson, we can only hope!
