In a new interview, the Once Upon a Time showrunners Kitsis and Horowitz tease Sunday’s season finale “A Land Without Magic”!

Speaking to EW, Ed Kitsis and Adam Horowitz discuss what happened to Henry at the end of last week’s episode, and how it’ll affect Emma and Regina’s relationship:

Well, what we can say about it is they’re still enemies and at odds, but they now have found a common purpose throwing them together in the finale, and it’s an uneasy alliance. The antagonism between the two of them that started in the pilot continues to grow and boil in the finale.

They of course don’t reveal whether Henry will wake up, but they do offer this tease: “Magic is unpredictable in this world.”

They also address Regina’s dream where she saw the town gang up on her, and say:

It was definitely foreshadowing in the last episode, and I think that if you watch the finale and you go back, there will be a few things in there that will make people go, “Ahhh.”

In an interview with TV Line, they further tease how the season finale will leave us:

One of our goals with the finale is that at the end of it you say, “What the hell are they going to do next?” Our hope is that in those final moments, there is a combination of satisfaction and also intense surprise. The emotion you’ll be feeling is, “Holy, holy, holy s—t.”

“A Land Without Magic” airs Sunday at 8/7c on ABC. We can’t wait!
