Season 2 of Once Upon a Time will reveal a previously unknown connection between Snow White and King Arthur’s Lancelot, played by Sinqua Walls!

Well, we didn’t see this one coming. TV Line has spoken to Once Upon a Time creators Ed Kitsis and Adam Horowitz, who revealed a very juicy spoiler tidbit: a connection between Snow and newcomer Lancelot!

Lancelot, of course, is a famous character from the King Arthur legends, and in Once Upon a Time he will be portrayed by Teen Wolf star Sinqua Walls. As myth weaves with fairytale, Snow and Lancelot’s paths will cross in a flashback, and it might even be more than just their paths that will tangle!

Kitsis reveals that, “Lancelot has a, uh, very ‘complicated’ relationship with Snow. The two of them have a secret that I’m not sure Charming knows.”

Lancelot will appear in at least three episodes this season, so it’s probably safe to suppose that he will show up in Storybrooke, too. What would this complicated relationship be all about? Are we just looking at another friend of Snow’s who she’ll assist in some way? Will she help him win over his true love Guinevere? Or are the stories perhaps merging to such an extent that Snow White herself takes the position of Guinevere, caught between her knight and her prince (Charming)?

But don’t worry, Snowing fans – all these characters being brought in (including Captain Hook, Sleeping Beauty and The Giant) are not going to steal the spotlight from your season 1 favourites.

“It’s all in service of the larger story we’ve been telling, centered on Snow White, Charming, their daughter Emma and their relationship with the Queen and Rumplestiltskin,” Horowitz says.

In the same interview, Kitsis also teases that Rumpelstiltskin will seek revenge on Regina. “They have this weird thing where they keep f—king each other over, yet they still seem to need each other,” he says. “Whatever Regina was saving Belle for just went away. And I have a feeling Rumple is going to want revenge.”

We can’t wait to find out what happened between Snow and Lancelot! After all, even if Charming is her true love, it doesn’t mean she can’t have had other romantic interests. Share your theories about this “complicated” relationship in the comments!
