Once Upon a Time in Wonderland may be ending this Thursday, but a fan favorite is set to move over to Once Upon a Time pending a season 4 renewal!

The Knave of Hearts, also known as Will, is packing his bags and returning to his modern apartment in Storybrooke for the next season of Once Upon a Time, according to a new report from EW.

Although there is no official word from ABC confirming the future of Once Upon a Time, we expect the show will return for a fourth season.

Actor Michael Socha, who portrays the thief Will, appears in Storybrooke at the start of the curse before the White Rabbit arrives to request his help to save Alice. Although the time lines of the two realms do not line up exactly, if an entire year can be wiped from memory, we are confident a loophole to allow for the jump through space and time is not impossible. After all, Alice and Cyrus were able to pop into his apartment and take in the spectacle of modern appliances before finding Will’s hidden heart.

Once Upon a Time suffered a great loss this week, but perhaps the arrival of another male lead who can match Hook’s wit and charm will ease the pain. The announcement coincides nicely with the final episode, allowing fans to get a taste of Will’s antics in Wonderland before his story concludes.

This season Once Upon a Time in Wonderland utilized the crossover approach to bring in Cora for a task best handled by the Queen of Hearts. Will is set to fit into the mix of Storybrooke characters nicely, especially since he already has ties to Regina’s family line.
