Once Upon a Time saw a huge jump in viewership with last night’s premiere winning the ratings for a non-sport show!

The same day ratings for Once Upon a Time do not lie. The show is back and the Frozen force brought a huge spike in viewership. Not only did their audience grow in the 18-49 category, but the show brought in new viewers in the 12-17 and 2-11 category.

Overall, Once Upon a Time saw their highest numbers in two years!

Even the Once Upon a Time: Storybrooke Has Frozen Over lead in special took over CBS’s 60 Minutes up 38% over the weekly news program. The special brought in more viewers than last year’s similar lead in to season 3.

As for the main event? Well, the numbers don’t lie. Once Upon a Time fans nearly doubled the viewership over CBS’s new drama Madam Secretary, and ranked second in the hour only to football, with 9.3 million people tuning to watch Anna and Elsa’s debut. The season 4 premiere won over football for the 8:00 hour for women 18-49.

Perhaps the most impressive feat the show achieved lies in the number of tweets generated!

Once Upon a Time brought in 224,951 tweets, up an astonishing 65% from last year’s season premiere. This is the show’s highest number ever.
