Once Upon a Time fans, you weren’t ready to let go of the Huntsman, and the showrunners heard your pleas! Look forward to Jamie Dornan returning later this year.

We might have had to kiss the budding Emma/Graham romance goodbye, but that doesn’t mean Jamie Dornan can’t still return to Once Upon a Time in flashbacks – and as previously teased, this is exactly what he’ll do in season 2…

…Or is it?

Dornan has been spotted in Vancouver recently, on set and in costume. Sheriff Graham costume. Check out this picture, which was posted on SpoilerTV:

We know what you’re thinking, but it seems unlikely that the writers are going to go back on their promise that they won’t bring a character back from the dead, as this will negate the impact their death had in the first place.

Rather, this looks like it will indeed be a flashback – but to the year 1983, when the characters first landed in Storybrooke. The scene they are shooting is from episode 2×17 and will involve a high-speed car chase.

Now this brings up a number of interesting questions, most importantly: if time was supposedly frozen for 28 years, how exactly does time flow within Storybrooke? Do the characters just not age, or does time pass differently?

It will definitely be interesting to see more of this time period before Emma arrived and time started moving again. This was obviously long before Henry was born and before Regina was a mother, and David was presumably in a coma at this point, too.

We’ll keep you updated as more details become available.
