ABC continues the eerie feel of Neverland on Once Upon a Time by adding Marilyn Manson to voice a familiar presence of the land!
The dark forests of Neverland, already creepy enough, are anticipating a voice that may make even Pan shake in his boots. In an interview with Rolling Stone it is revealed that Marilyn Manson, a veteran of a shock rock music genre, will lend his voice to the Shadow lurking around Neverland. The dark figure, with its haunting yellow eyes, will likely become an even more terrifying presence once granted the ability to speak.
Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis comment on Manson’s voice:
We wanted to cast someone with the vocal ability to make our skin crawl.
The shadow appears, already, as a pawn in Pan’s nightmareish Neverland. So far the duties include luring innocent children to the island with no intent of bringing them back home. However, as we saw last week, Mr. Gold is able to cut his shadow and employ it for hiding a dagger. Could the shadow turn out to help in the search for Henry?
We will have to wait until November to find out.
