What did you think about last night’s episode of Once Upon a Time? Watch the promo for next week’s “The Miller’s Daughter” now!

“The Queen is Dead” flashed back to Snow White’s childhood to show us how her mother died and how she changed from a spoiled little princess to the admirable and selfless woman she is now. It was a heartbreaking story of how Snow turned good, and ended with the heartbreaking twist of how she’ll inevitably take a stab at being evil.

Meanwhile, in New York, Emma, Henry, Neal and Gold discussed going back to Storybrooke, up until Hook stabbed Gold with his poisoned dagger. Neal revealed that he had a way to get them back to Storybrooke: with Hook’s pirate ship, which he apparently knows how to steer. Hmmm, we’re sensing a Peter Pan connection here!

Next Sunday’s episode “The Miller’s Daughter” will flash back to show the first chapter of another important female character’s story: Regina’s mother Cora.

This is a highly anticipated episode, as we’ll finally get to see the actual story of Rumpelstiltskin as told by the Brothers Grimm: how he made a deal with the miller’s daughter (Cora) to spin gold for her in exchange for her first-born child. It will be interesting to see Once Upon a Time‘s spin (no pun intended) on this story!

Wow! This looks like another intense episode. Do you think it’ll be as good as last night’s “The Queen is Dead”? Read the official description released by ABC:

Cora’s desire to rid herself of Rumplestiltskin in order to take his place as The Dark One takes one step closer to becoming reality as she and Regina try to overpower a dying Mr. Gold, and Mary Margaret is once again tempted by dark magic. Meanwhile, in the fairytale land that was, Rumplestiltskin agrees to offer his services to a younger Cora – for a price – when the king calls her bluff and orders her to actually follow through on her boast of being able to spin straw into gold.
