The titles for both the second and third episodes of Once Upon a Time season 2 have been released, as well as their synopses! Beware of major plot details and spoilers ahead!

We found out a little over a week ago that the episode title for Once Upon a Time 2×02 would be “We Are Both” and that it would be Regina-centric, but now we have a short synopsis to go with it:

Regina continues to find a way to regain her powers; David continues his quest to find Mary Margaret and Emma; the seven dwarves discover what happens when one of the townspeople tries to leave Storybrooke’s city limits.

The first part of the synopsis isn’t too groundbreaking. We knew that Regina’s powers wouldn’t quite be the same in Storybrooke, and it doesn’t take a genius to realize that she wouldn’t sit idly by while her powers were on the fritz. The real question, however, is how she plans on getting her powers back. Will she confront Mr. Gold and try to negotiate with him? Will she try to work with her mother to find a way to increase her power?

The second part of the synopsis is by far the most intriguing. It seems that Mary Margaret and Emma are missing – but how? And where did they go? Regardless of those answers, this must be the bonding time that the creators were teasing for the mother-daughter duo. And we wonder who will try to escape the town, and why everyone would still be trapped now that the curse is broken.

The title for episode 2×03 is called “Lady of the Lake.” The description of the episode states:

Emma and Mary Margaret try to find a portal that would bring them back to Storybrooke; Henry tries to talk Jefferson into reuniting with his daughter; on the eve of meeting Prince Charming’s mother, King George poisons Snow White.

Interesting! It seems as though the doorway in and out of Storybrooke may be working – sporadically, at least. We’re definitely pumped for this storyline – Emma in the fairytale world? That’s going to be fun to watch! We’re also glad to see that Jefferson will be around in this episode. That last sentence also has us worried – but is it referring to our current Snow White, or a past version of her? And could this be the episode where we find out if something good or bad will happen to Charming’s mother?
