The Once Upon a Time season 2 premiere episode has just finished airing on ABC, and we’re reeling from the new character introductions and revelations!
After a very long hiatus, Once Upon a Time has finally returned for its second season. At the end of season 1, we were left with magic having been returned to Storybrooke by Mr. Gold, giving all the characters their memories back, yet not seeing them returned to the fairytale world.
While we waited for this episode, we have heard the cast and crew discuss how the breaking of the curse was only the beginning, and how a lot of what happens in the second season will not be what we expected at all.
In the premiere episode “Broken,” we saw just how affected everyone has been by the breaking of the curse. The happy reunions were marred by confusion, anger (mainly on Emma’s part), and of course fear of Regina, who had got her powers back.
We also met both Mulan and Princess Aurora in the fairytale realm, and their complicated relationship with Prince Phillip was explored.
