If you’ve been obsessively listening to “Old Town Road” — and watching the countless memes on social media — you’re in for a treat with Lil Nas X’s music video for the song.

“Old Town Road” continues to go from strength to strength, and is spending its seventh week at number one on the Billboard Hot 100. Which ain’t too shabby, for a track that was previously kicked off the country charts for not “embracing enough elements of today’s country music.” The current iteration, which was recorded following the outrage of its removal, is a remix version and features Billy Ray Cyrus on the track — who supported Lil Nas X’s take on his classic track.

The music video for the yeehawin’ song has everything that its fans could have hoped for — from a ton of references back to the meme movements that launched it into superstardom, as well as celebrity cameos, a bank robbery, and sparkly cowboy outfits.

The original music video for “Old Town Road” was uploaded in 2018, and featured clips of Lil Nas X’s character from Red Dead Redemption 2. This new release is certainly an upgrade on that first attempt, though both have their own charms and will secure their place in the pop culture landscape for years to come.

We wouldn’t be shocked if the release of the new “Old Town Road” video secured the song’s place at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 for several more weeks to come.

But, for now, we’re going to keep watching the video. On repeat. Because we really can’t get enough of it.
