San Francisco’s indie festival, Noise Pop, wrapped up its week long stint with spectacular lineups that raged on through Saturday and Sunday nights.

Read on for our recap of the lineups and to find out which bands stood out among the rest!

Saturday and Sunday’s Noise Pop lineups were so jam-packed with music gigs across the city, we’d be hard pressed to recap them all! Instead, we’ve decided to highlight some of the standout lineups for you:

San Francisco’s Bottom of the Hill’s lineup consisted of Sonny & the Sunsets, Tim Cohen, Cool Ghouls, and Dune Rats, where the vibe consisted of guitar heavy tunes with an edgy surf rock sound.

The Independent, located in San Francisco’s Alamo Square neighborhood, boasted a lineup that included James & Evander, Dogbite, Sinkane, and Toro Y Moi. Fans of danceable tunes with an overall mellow sound that is sometimes reminiscent of funky ’70s music are sure to enjoy any of the bands that played at this show.

The Rickshaw Stop in San Francisco’s Tenderloin District played host to bands French Cassettes, Lighthouse and the Whaler, Jukebox the Ghost, and Matt Pond, former frontman of Matt Pond PA, where the general theme seemed to be indie pop. If you’re a fan of infectiously catchy and dangerously toe-tapping tunes, we highly suggest checking out any of the bands that played this show — you won’t be disappointed!

Stand out acts of the weekend:

French Cassettes

Hailing from San Francisco, Calif., French Cassettes are truly a hidden gem that any fan of indie pop is sure to enjoy.

This band has mastered the art of combining infectiously catchy melodies, punctuated by carefully placed harmonies to a T.

We guarantee it won’t take long before you’re itching to bob your head along to the beat of their tunes!

Jukebox The Ghost

Washington, D.C. based indie band Jukebox the Ghost effortlessly combine catchy lyrics with indie pop/rock melodies (oftentimes reminiscent of such classic rock acts like Led Zeppelin and Queen) to create songs that will undoubtedly have you itching to sing along.

But the comparisons to these classic rock acts doesn’t just stop at the melodies — it has to be said that lead singer Ben Thornewill’s unique vocals and spectacular range are arguably right up there with the best of them!

Don’t be fooled by their happy-go-lucky sound though -– this three-piece rock band is notorious for pairing upbeat tunes with darker lyrics.

The band’s third studio album, Safe Travels, can only be described as Elton John meets new wave indie and definitely deserves a listen!
