The latest Noah featurette gives us some background information about the film’s antagonist played by Ray Winstone.

Noah, starring Russell Crowe, Jennifer Connelly, Logan Lerman, and Anthony Hopkins is just over a week away from its U.S. release date. Watch the film’s latest featurette which focuses on Tubal-Cain:

While the flood may appear to be the climax of Noah, from early reviews it looks as though Tubal-Cain will have a major part in the film. There will be a major battle between Noah and and the film’s villain.

Though the new footage from director Darren Aronofsky’s latest film continues to feel rather epic, early reviews suggest there will be a much more intimate story leading up to the highly anticipated finale.

Lately, director Darren Aronofsky’s Noah retelling has been under some heat (despite most of the complaints coming from people who have yet to see the film). The film’s even been banned in a few countries, but the director has said that he isn’t concerned.

Noah has Aronofsky at the helm and he is a brilliant director, so we aren’t too concerned either with the controversy over the film’s message or potential changes from the source material.

The story centers around the title character’s mission to save his family after seeing visions of an inevitable apocalypse. Director Darren Aronofsky and Russell Crowe have promised an edgier take on the biblical tale.

We’re excited to see what this caliber of director is able to do with the tale of Noah. Aronofsky’s most recent film, Black Swan, went on to grab an Academy Award for Natalie Portman’s brilliant portrayal of a disturbed ballerina.

Noah is set to hit theaters March 28, 2014.
