No Time to Die will have singer-songwriter Billie Eilish perform the Bond title track for the upcoming film.

Along with casting some of the most iconic actors and actresses of all time, the James Bond franchise has likewise made a habit of tapping a truly talented group of artists and musicians to sing their title track — names such as Shirley Bassey, Duran Duran, Gladys Knight, Tina Turner, Carly Simon and Paul McCartney have all contributed to the James Bond legacy over its 50-year run.

No Time to Die looks to be no different. Hot on the heels of announcing four-time Grammy winner and Oscar-winning Hans Zimmer as the composer for the upcoming James Bond film, No Time to Die has likewise named Grammy nominee Billie Eilish as the singer for the theme song of the film.

The singer-songwriter will succeed Grammy winners Sam Smith, who sang the song for Spectre and Adele, who sang the theme for Skyfall, and, at 18 years old, will be the youngest artist ever to sing a Bond theme song.

“It feels crazy to be a part of this in every way,” Eilish said in a statement. “To be able to score the theme song to a film that is part of such a legendary series is a huge honor. James Bond is the coolest film franchise ever to exist. I’m still in shock.”

The 18-year-old superstar has written the song for No Time to Die, which will be released on Darkroom/Interscope Records, together with her elder brother Finneas.

“There are a chosen few who record a Bond theme,” said No Time To Die director Cary Joji Fukunaga. “I am a huge fan of Billie and Finneas. Their creative integrity and talent are second to none and I cannot wait for audiences to hear what they’ve brought — a fresh new perspective whose vocals will echo for generations to come.”
