Looks like James Bond won’t be hitting the big screen in April as planned. No Time To Die has once again had its theatrical release date pushed back.

Update (1/21/2021): Fans of 007 itching to experience James Bond’s next big mission will have to wait patiently.

The highly anticipated 25th installment of the hit action franchise has officially been delayed yet again.

The release of No Time To Die has remained in limbo over the course of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, having had its theatrical premiere date pushed back a handful of times by MGM.

Even so, for a while, it seemed as though the film would finally debut on April 2, 2021— nearly a full year after it was originally set to hit theaters.

Now, according to Variety, MGM has opted to shift the release date for 007’s next adventure to October 8, 2021.

The action film’s new fall release date is once again a direct result of the fact that theaters across the country remain shuttered as a result of the current pandemic.

No Time To Die is scheduled to debut in theaters on October 8, 2021.

Original Story (10/2/2020): 007 fans will have to wait even longer than expected before they can head out to theaters to catch No Time To Die. The 25th James Bond film has had its release date pushed back yet again.

According to Deadline, MGM has officially announced that they’ve pushed back the release of the 25th Bond film, No Time To Die, to April 2, 2021.

In a statement announcing the film’s newest release date, the studio said they made the decision to push the film back in an effort to ensure 007’s next adventure could be enjoyed in theaters by audiences worldwide.

“MGM, Universal and Bond producers, Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, today announced the release of No Time To Die, the 25th film in the James Bond series, will be delayed until 2 April in order to be seen by a worldwide theatrical audience,” said the studio.

“We understand the delay will be disappointing to our fans but we now look forward to sharing No Time To Die next year.”

Bond fans were originally set to catch back up with 007 earlier this year on April 10. However, due to the current coronavirus pandemic, MGM was one of the first studios to announce plans to pull the highly anticipated action flick from theaters and push the release date back.

Most recently, Bond was meant to bow in theaters on November 12 in the U.K. and on November 25 in the United States. No Time To Die’s newest release date however, means the film will have officially been delayed a full year as a result of the pandemic and ongoing theater closures.

No Time To Die, the 25th James Bond film, is set to debut in theaters on April 2, 2021.
