The hype over Nintendo’s first console’s classic re-release has given Nintendo the incentive to continue producing the NES Classic throughout 2018.
Nintendo of America tweeted out the good news on July 11, 2018, meaning that we have another six months to grab the adorable and fun NES Classic.

When the NES Classic first launched in November 2016, it was a hot ticket item that was difficult to get. Much like the NES Classic, the SNES Classic was similarly difficult to find, and could use some production boosts the likes of which the NES Classic is now seeing.
Today’s announcement of the restocking of the NES Classic gives further credence to rumors of upcoming announcements for both the N64 Classic and GameCube Classic.

The games included on the NES Classic include Super Mario Bros., Metroid, The Legend of Zelda, and Mega Man 2. Offering a great way to play through the origins of many of our favorite Nintendo series, the NES Classic allows multiplayer functionality on certain games with a second controller. One NES Classic controller is included in the packaging, while another has an MSRP of $9.99. The console’s cartridge port is only for show, and does not accept NES cartridges.
The budget-friendly MSRP of $59.99 sells itself. With the 30 pre-installed Nintendo games on the console, and its cute but functional look, the NES Classic makes for a great addition to any Nintendo enthusiast’s collection. Retailers currently selling the NES Classic include Target, Amazon, Wal-mart, Gamestop, and Best Buy. With this wave of the NES Classic, the days of searching desperately for this Nintendo console will hopefully come to an end.
