Nintendo’s heavy hitters came out to play in this morning’s reveals during Nintendo’s 7 August 2013 Nintendo Direct live broadcast.

The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds will have similar gameplay to A Link to the Past, but it will feature completely new dungeons. This game is set “many years after A Link to the Past,” and is therefore a different Link.

The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds releases this November for the 3DS.

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD for Wii U saw some fine tuning for the collection in the last half of the game, and for quicker Wind Waker functions. It releases this October.

Luigi was confirmed for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Super Smash Bros. for 3DS. It was expected that Mario’s taller and green-clothed brother would make an appearance in the fourth title in the Smash Bros. series. Nothing more was said on the hotly anticipated fighting titles.

Many screenshots were shown off depicting Luigi in action, two of which you can view below.

Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney is confirmed as being dubbed for English speaking territories.

Animal Crossing: New Leaf‘s Miiverse will is made available for free on the eShop now. It allows players to transfer over items to the Wii U’s Miiverse from the 3DS to the Wii U.

The broadcast ended with a plug for another broadcast this Friday for Nintendo’s new I.P. The Wonderful 101.
