Nikolaj Coster-Waldau is returning to the small screen to star in another series adaptation.

According to Variety, Game of Thrones vet Nikolaj Coster-Waldau has signed on to star in and executive produce an upcoming adaptation of The Second Home.

Based on author Christina Clancy’s 2020 debut novel of the same name, The Second Home is a multi-generational story that centers on the Gordon and Shaw families.

Both share a summer on Cape Cod that changes their lives forever. And while some may want to keep the past in the past, others are itching to set the record straight about what really happened that fateful summer all those years ago.

Behind the camera, the forthcoming adaptation of Clancy’s The Second Home hails from Sony’s TriStar TV banner.

In addition to starring in the series adaptation, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau is is set to serve as an executive producer on the project. Joining him in producing are partners Joe Derrick and Jeffrey Chassen. All three will produce via their Ill Kippers production company.

Yet to be announced is who will serve as showrunner and head writer for the forthcoming series adaptation. In addition, The Second Home has yet to find a network to call home.

Coster-Waldau has been keeping busy since wrapping on Game of Thrones, following up his stint as Jaime Lannister with a slew of roles on the big screen.

Currently, fans can catch him starring in the action crime thriller, The Silencing, which debuted last summer. Coming up next, he’ll star opposite January Jones and Jamie Foxx in the Nick Cassavetes’ God is a Bullet.
