The fourth and final season of The CW’s spy-fi drama Nikita premieres tonight with the titular heroine designated the world’s most wanted.

Previously on ‘Nikita’…

Season 3 of Nikita saw the team that worked to bring down Division turning the tables, running the secret black ops group themselves in an effort to shut it down. But bringing in rogue agents and closing Division’s doors for good didn’t turn out as easy as anticipated as political machinations and Amanda’s influence threatened to destroy Team Nikita.

Amanda teamed up with The Shop, a secret organization that formerly supplied Division with its spy-fi technology, in her increasingly obsessive mission to destroy Nikita and her loved ones. Amanda and The Shop staged the assassination of the president of the United States, framing Nikita for her death. However, it was revealed that the president is still alive and a captive.

Marked the world’s most wanted, Nikita went on the run, leaving the surviving members of Team Nikita, including her fiance, behind in an effort to protect them. Meanwhile, Michael, Alex, Birkhoff, Sonya, and Ryan destroyed the Division bunker and swore to help clear their friend’s name.

If that promo has whet your appetite, make sure to read the official synopsis for fourth season premiere:

THE FINAL FIGHT BEGINS — Nikita (Maggie Q) is still on the run after she was framed for the assassination of the President of the United States. Dale, a reporter (guest star Todd Grinnell) from the news channel ENN, starts questioning what really happened that night. Nikita sees this as an opportunity to clear her name so she re-enters the country to talk to Dale but walks right into a trap set by Amanda (Melinda Clarke). The team is alerted and Michael (Shane West) sets out to find Nikita before Amanda does. While Birkoff (Aaron Stanford) and Ryan (Noah Bean) help Michael from their new mobile office, a high-tech aircraft, Alex (Lyndsy Fonseca) stakes out a human-trafficking ring and learns The Shop is involved. Things go south and Alex is surprised when Owen/Sam (Devon Sawa) shows up at the scene. Eagle Egilsson directed the episode written by Kristen Reidel (#401).
